Joann began her Pilates journey in 2007 with Power Pilates, completing all the mat certifications before earning her comprehensive 600-hour certification in 2011. Since then she has added over 200 hours of continuing education, focused on training athletes and working with sports-related injuries. With a Bachelor of Science in Health and Education, the field was a natural fit. Before launching Classic Pilates, she was the Pilates Director and Group Exercise Coordinator at Cityplace Fitness Club in Uptown, and she has been the Pilates instructor for the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has worked with athletes from the NBA and NFL, as well as collegiate athletes, helping them perform and recover. Her mission is simple: help clients move better, feel stronger, and leave every session better than they arrived.

Alicia brings a competitive edge and an athletic drive to every session, committed to helping clients feel and perform their best. She grew up excelling in softball, volleyball, and Taekwondo, then discovered Pilates in college and never looked back. With over 15 years of practice, she earned her Power Pilates Mat I and II in 2013 and completed the Power Pilates Comprehensive Program in 2016, equipping her to train everyone from preschoolers to seniors. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and spent nearly a decade in marketing and sales before turning to fitness full time.

Carrie has always had a passion for movement, from running to high-intensity training. Her fitness path took off while working at the award-winning Telos Fitness Center. Before that she earned an Associate's in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu and even competed on Fox's Hell's Kitchen under Gordon Ramsay. When she reconnected with fitness, Pilates became her new arena. She earned her Power Pilates Mat I and II and is on track to complete the Comprehensive Program, coaching others with the same intensity she brings to her own training.

Benjamin first encountered the Pilates Method in 1989 while training with the Houston Ballet, using it for strength, control, and injury prevention. After moving to Dallas in 1993 he expanded his expertise, earning certifications in both Pilates and the GYROTONIC® Method, working with athletes across disciplines to improve performance, resilience, and recovery. He completed comprehensive certification through The GoodBody's PilateSystem and Peak Pilates, with observation hours under Romana Kryzanowska, a protégé of Joseph Pilates, and training under Ron Fletcher and Michelle Larson. His own athletic interests span martial arts, competitive swimming, and endurance racing.

Haley earned her full certification in 2005 through STOTT Pilates, later adding a second credential from Pilates Academy International in both Pilates and CARDIOLATES at the renowned Pilates on Fifth, where she still serves as a Certifying Instructor-Trainer. Her training also includes CoreAlign, RedCord Active, pre and post natal Pilates, and Barre, letting her work across a broad range of needs and levels. After 14 years in the Northeast, including Boston, she is glad to be back in Dallas, known for dynamic, results-driven work and a real emphasis on the mind-body connection.

Sam, originally from Southern California, earned two BFA degrees in Dance, Performance and Choreography, from the University of California, Irvine. Her dance training gave her a deep understanding of movement, which led her to comprehensive Pilates training under master teacher Diane Diefenderfer. After moving to Dallas in 2020 she moved into full-time instruction, bringing an athletic mindset to every class. She focuses on strength, flexibility, and injury prevention, helping clients move better and more efficiently in everyday life and in sport.

Joyce is a certified Teacher-Trainer and instructor with Power Pilates, the program known for staying true to the method Joseph Pilates pioneered. She began teaching in 2016 and quickly earned certifications across every level. A lifelong athlete, from competitive swimmer and diver to marathon runner, she regularly attends workshops nationwide and collaborates with top instructors to refine her craft. After more than 20 years in the corporate and finance world, she moved to teaching full time, and now leads Teacher-Trainer programs nationally and internationally while continuing to work with individual clients.

After a life that included extreme sports in Indonesia and Switzerland, a 2010 spinal injury left Melanie paralyzed from the neck down. Through Eastern medicine and Pilates she made a powerful recovery, which transformed her path and purpose. Since 2017 she has taught Allegro, Megaformer, and Classical Pilates, bringing real resilience and expertise to every session. Her experience spans top studios including Beyond Pilates, Studio 6, Club Pilates, and Equinox, and she offers private sessions at Classic Pilates.

Donetta became a fitness enthusiast while serving in the US Army, and it grew into a lifelong practice spanning yoga, weight lifting, running, and more. As a whole-health coach and therapist she recommended Pilates and mindfulness to help clients cope with chronic pain, then fell in love with Reformer work herself. Curious about the theory and science of the method, she trained through Power Pilates, completed a 500-hour comprehensive certification, and earned her Classical Comprehensive Teacher Certification through Peak Pilates. She believes health is a whole-person effort of body, mind, and spirit.

Every one of our instructors is certified in the classical method and keeps learning. Several are teacher-trainers who help certify the next generation of Pilates professionals.
